NO ESTÁS SOLO • MURAL

Custom lettering and mural created for the You Are Not Alone Mural Festival, a public art initiative along the South Street Seaport in New York City that raises awareness for Mental Health Awareness Month. The festival invites artists to interpret the phrase “You Are Not Alone” as a shared visual message of support, connection, and visibility.

In this work, the phrase is rendered in Spanish as No Estás Solo. The lettering was designed as an interdependent system rather than a sequence of isolated forms. Each letter bends, overlaps, and leans into the next, creating a structure where no single character stands on its own. The composition treats typography as a metaphor for collective support, with forms that hold, counterbalance, and reinforce one another.

Executed at architectural scale, the mural emphasizes legibility from a distance while rewarding closer inspection through detail, rhythm, and gesture. The result is a typographic statement that communicates reassurance not only through language, but through form itself.
