MAGNETIC FEILD IDENTITY

Magnetic Field is a production company founded by directors Justin Lin, The Russo Brothers, and producer Todd Makurath. Positioned at the intersection of entertainment and advertising, the studio approaches brand storytelling through cinematic craft and cultural relevance.

The identity system draws from the concept of magnetism, treating attraction, force, and motion as organizing principles. Typography stretches, shifts, and compresses, behaving less like static form and more like a field in motion. This motion-driven language reflects the studio’s mantra of advertising as entertainment, where narrative energy and visual impact are inseparable.

To support this living system, we developed a custom creative coding tool that embeds the brand logic directly into the identity itself. The tool allows for infinite iterations of the wordmark, ensuring consistency through rules rather than fixed outcomes. The result is an identity designed to remain fluid and responsive, shaped by motion, collaboration, and the gravitational pull of compelling filmmaking.
