Ampersand • POSTER

This poster uses the ampersand as a point of entry into optical illusion, collapsing letterform and pattern into a single image. Rather than separating figure and ground, the work merges both, allowing form and field to operate as one.

Vertical stripes bend, compress, and warp through the shape of the ampersand, producing a sense of depth, vibration, and spatial tension. What emerges is an image that shifts as it is viewed, oscillating between recognition and abstraction. The poster rewards sustained looking, inviting the eye to move, adjust, and reorient as perception continuously recalibrates
