Custom typographic numbers created for each age statement in the Aberlour single malt whisky collection. Aberlour takes its name from the place where it is made, meaning “the mouth of the chattering burn” in Gaelic, a reference to the wild mountain water stream that runs through the distillery and is central to the brand’s story.
The numbers 12, 16, and 18 are rendered as flowing topographies, rising from a shared horizontal field to evoke whisky emerging from its water source. Each form reflects a different moment in the aging process, translating time, place, and origin into a single typographic story rooted in movement and history.
